Soho House is seeking a Runner at Kettner's Townhouse to support the seamless flow between kitchen and front-of-house. You will deliver orders promptly, assist waiting staff, and help maintain a spotless service area while building relationships with members.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in high-end dining, strong wine knowledge, and excellent communication. The role involves close teamwork, POS familiarity, and participation in ongoing training and staff events.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a similar high-end dining environment.
• Excellent food and beverage knowledge, including wine service.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills with a hands-on approach.
• Confident, polished, and professional demeanour.
• Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
• Familiarity with POS systems and reservation software.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food or drinks from the kitchen/bar to members’ tables, acting as a link between kitchen/bar and floor.
• Assist waiting staff and ensure a superior member experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation across service areas.
• Polish cutlery and prepare table items in advance.
• Attend daily meetings to learn menu changes and tastings.
• Open and close stations, manage setup and breakdown of service areas.

The Role…

At Soho House, a Runner plays a vital supporting role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of service between the kitchen and front-of-house teams. As a key link in the dining experience, the Runner is responsible for delivering food and beverages promptly, maintaining cleanliness and organisation across the service areas. .

Y our main responsibility is to assist the waiting staff and make sure the member gets a superior experience. You will deliver food orders from the kitchen (or drinks orders from the bar) to members’ tables, acting as a point of contact between the kitchen/bar and the floor.

• Bring food/drink quickly from the kitchen/bar to its respective location in the restaurants and deliver to members.
• Maintain a spotless, pristine work environment
• Provides service to and is accountable for an assigned section.
• Develop relationships with members to provide personalized service.
• Polishing cutlery ensuring they are ready for service.
• Preparing any additions to tables in advance (preparing lemon wraps, condiments, butter portions etc)
• Perform opening and closing procedures including but not limited to the set up and break down of stations.
• Ensure all service equipment is handled carefully and stored correctly.
• Maintain a spotless and pristine working environment.
• Attending regular meetings with front and back of house teams to learn about any menu changes and specials alongside daily tastings.
