Job description
The Role

The team..

At ITV, our corporate teams work smart and work fast. We're one of the most talked-about brands. With a variety of roles across HR, Finance and Legal, you'll find a position that challenges you, enabling you to have a real impact on your career, on our viewers and our strategic ambitions - and still have a life outside work.

The role..

As RTR Manager, Inter-Company, the main purpose of your role is to ensure the accurate, timely, and compliant recording, reconciliation, and reporting of financial transactions between the different legal entities across ITV. This permanent position, reporting directly to the Head of Record to Report (RTR) requires you to lead and develop the Intercompany Accounting team, drive automation and best practice, and embed a culture of continuous improvement. You will act as the key contact for all intercompany matters - delivering timely and compliant processes while supporting the wider Finance Operations strategy and fostering collaboration across the business.

Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, manage, and develop the RTR Intercompany Accounting team, setting clear objectives and promoting a high-performance culture aligned with Finance Operations goals.
  • Oversee all intercompany accounting activities in Oracle Fusion, ensuring accurate, timely month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Own and maintain the Intercompany Workbench, ensuring policies, procedures, and documentation are consistent, compliant, and effective.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of intercompany accounting entries and reconciliations across A/R, A/P, and General Ledger accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve aged or disputed items, maintaining clear visibility and preventing future discrepancies.
  • Drive automation and process efficiency, embedding a digital-first and continuous improvement mindset across the team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance Operations and RTR to resolve issues, support audits, and deliver clear, transparent reporting.
  • Champion innovation and system optimisation, leveraging Oracle Fusion capabilities to improve performance and control.
  • Support the Head of RTR with strategic and operational priorities and contribute to team meetings and cross-functional initiatives.
Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)
  • Qualified accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), or a highly experienced QBE with strong people and process management experience.
  • Proven intercompany accounting expertise, ideally within a large or complex organisation.
  • Strong technical proficiency in accounting systems, with hands‑on experience using a large ERP (Oracle Fusion preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in a management role within a Record to Report (RTR) team or transactional service centre.
  • Proven track record of leading or contributing to a digital transformation within an RTR function - including designing processes, writing standard operating procedures, and recruiting or developing team members.
  • Solid understanding of financial controls, reconciliations, and reporting processes within an RTR environment.
Other things we're looking for (key criteria)
  • Digital mindset - enthusiastic about automation, data-driven insight, and technology-led solutions.
  • Proven ability to review, challenge, and improve processes, embedding efficiency and best practice.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to deliver accurately under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills, able to build trust and influence across teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability, with a practical, solution-oriented approach.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and change, showing resilience and adaptability in evolving environments.
  • Collaborative team player who promotes accountability and avoids a blame culture.
  • Demonstrated resilience and composure under pressure, maintaining focus on outcomes.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies, embracing iterative improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Creative and innovative approach to problem-solving, leveraging emerging tools and AI solutions where appropriate.
