Job summary

MarcDaniels is seeking a Finance Business Partner to manage licensing programs for top brands. You will oversee royalty reporting, invoicing, and client remittances, and support GL reconciliations across internal and external stakeholders.

The role focuses on finance partnering, accounting activities (AP/AR), and reporting, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, numeracy, and stakeholder management. Based on-site 3–4 days a week in London.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or equivalent experience.
• Degree required or equivalent experience.
• Licensing/handling royalties experience is preferred.
• Translating contractual terms.
• Experience in Finance Business Partnering, and Accounting / AP / AR.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating the timely collection and processing of royalty statements and invoicing to Licensees, ensuring accurate royalties.
• Ensuring client payments are accurate, complete and timely, and reporting obligations are fulfilled.
• Monitoring receivables and coordinating with Credit Control and Licensing teams for timely collections.
• Supporting internal financial queries from licensees, clients and auditors (documentation, calculations).
• Processing supplier invoices and coordinating with Accounts Payable for timely payments.
• Posting month-end journals including revenue/cost accruals and write-offs; assisting with monthly management reports.

Based on site 3/4 days a week, and working as part of a dynamic and friendly team, you will be responsible for all aspects of finance business partnering for a brand licensing agency.

This includes collecting and processing royalty reports, arranging invoices and client remittances, interpreting licensing contracts, assisting with General Ledger reconciliations and supporting both internal and external stakeholders.

This is a full-time role that will challenge and allow the right person to grow at the same time.

Client Reporting

• Facilitating the timely collection & processing of royalty statements / sales projections from Licensees, ensuring accurate invoices of royalties are raised and shared with Licensees
• Ensuring client payments are accurate, complete and sent in a good timely manner, as well as fulfilling reporting obligations as per Client Representation Agreements
• Monitoring receivables and liaising with Credit Control and Licensing Commercial teams to achieve timely collection of royalties
• Assisting with internal financial queries as well as those from licensees, clients and auditors when required (e.g. process structure, required documentation, calculation breakdowns).

Accounting

• Processing supplier invoices and liaising with Accounts Payable to arrange timely payments.
• Posting month-end journals, including revenue / cost accruals, bad debt provisions and write-offs.
• Performing reconciliations and assisting with monthly management reports as required (COS and G&A analysis, reserve analysis, revenue variances).

Finance Reporting

• Assisting the senior finance team with preparing quarterly royalty projections and analysis.
• Continuously seeking for process improvements.

Other Responsibilities

• Providing absence cover for other members of the Finance Team.
• Supporting the Finance Team with ad-hoc analysis and reports. You Have These:

• Intermediate to advanced MS excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs etc.)
