Job summary

Angard Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting for Royal Mail delivery roles in the Aberdeen area. You will be a Post Person with Driving, delivering letters and parcels across your assigned route while walking parts of the day to complete rounds.

This role combines outdoor activity with driving, requires a full UK manual licence, and flexibility for shift changes. Training and a driving assessment are provided as part of onboarding.

Qualifications

• Must have a full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be physically fit to walk up to 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of a van, and carry a mailbag up to 16 kg.
• Shifts vary and require adaptability at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels as part of your round, driving a Royal Mail van where required.
• Complete delivery routes, with portions walked on foot to ensure items reach customers.
• Safely handle and deliver election materials and certain items per Royal Mail standards.
• Pass a driving assessment when you start.

What We’re Looking For

• Driving Licence: Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points – you’ll be driving a Royal Mail van as part of your round.
• Physical Fitness: Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Flexibility: Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Your Role

As a Post Person with Driving, you’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, ensuring letters and parcels are delivered come rain or shine. You’ll drive round your delivery area, completing parts of your route on foot, providing exceptional service and ensuring every item reaches its destination safely.

You’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.

Important to Know

The table below outlines the pay rates applicable for roles within our Delivery Offices. The rates displayed are payable for the entirety of your shift where the shift description criteria is met.

Rates could be subject to change during busy periods, Angard staffing will communicate any change to your pay rates in advance.
