Job summary

Angard Staffing Solutions Ltd on behalf of Royal Mail is seeking flexible Post Person with Driving roles across delivery offices in the UK. You will deliver letters and parcels, combining driving a van with walking routes, while delivering excellent service in all weather conditions.

Shifts vary (Day, Dawn, Early, Evening, Late, Night) with hourly rates. A driving assessment is required on start; role is temporary with potential to become permanent.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points – you’ll be driving a Royal Mail van as part of your round.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Important to Know

Pay & Shifts

The table below outlines the pay rates applicable for roles within our Delivery Offices. The rates displayed are payable for the entirety of your shift where the shift description criteria is met.

Rates could be subject to change during busy periods, Angard staffing will communicate any change to your pay rates in advance.

• Day Shift - Starts and finishes between 05:31 and 19:59 = £13.69 per hour
• Dawn Shift - Starts between 02:01 and 04:00 = £14.61 per hour
• Early 05:00 Shift - Starts between 04:01 and 05:00 = £14.61 per hour
• Early 05:30 Shift - Starts between 05:01 and 05:30 = £14.61 per hour
• Evening Shift - Finishes between 20:00 and 21:39 = £14.38 per hour
• Late Shift - Finishes between 21:40 and 01:59 = £15.14 per hour
• Night Shift – Three hours across 23:00 and 05:00 = £16.44 per hour

While this is a temporary role, there may be potential for it to become permanent.
