Job summary

Angard Recruitment is seeking flexible, temporary postal delivery drivers for Royal Mail in the Bristol area. You will drive a Royal Mail van and deliver letters and parcels, with pieces of the route completed on foot.

Applicants should hold a full, manual UK driving licence (max 6 points) and be prepared for a physically demanding role, walking up to 20,000 steps daily and lifting bags up to 16kg. Shifts vary and a driving assessment may be required.

What We're Looking For

Driving Licence: Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points - you'll be driving a Royal Mail van as part of your round.
Physical Fitness: Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
Flexibility: Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Your Role

As a Post Person with Driving, you'll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, ensuring letters and parcels are delivered come rain or shine. You'll drive round your delivery area, completing parts of your route on foot, providing exceptional service and ensuring every item reaches its destination safely.

You're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.

Important to Know

While large parts of the role involves walking, driving a Royal Mail delivery van is also a key requirement. This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy being outdoors and staying active throughout the day. Please note: you'll be required to pass a driving assessment when you start.

Pay & Shifts

The table below outlines the pay rates applicable for roles within our Delivery Offices. The rates displayed are payable for the entirety of your shift where the shift description criteria is met.

Rates could be subject to change during busy periods, Angard staffing will communicate any change to your pay rates in advance.
