Job summary

Angard Recruitment supports Royal Mail in recruiting flexible delivery drivers. You will deliver letters and parcels across your round, driving the Royal Mail van and occasionally walking routes on foot to complete deliveries.

You must hold a full UK manual licence with up to 6 points, be physically fit to walk 20,000 steps daily, and stay flexible for varying shift patterns. A driving assessment is required on start.

Responsibilities

What We’re Looking For

Your Role

As a Post Person with Driving, you'll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, ensuring letters and parcels are delivered come rain or shine. You'll drive round your delivery area, completing parts of your route on foot, providing exceptional service and ensuring every item reaches its destination safely.

You're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.

Important to Know

While large parts of the role involves walking, driving a Royal Mail delivery van is also a key requirement. This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy being outdoors and staying active throughout the day. Please note: you'll be required to pass a driving assessment when you start.

The table below outlines the pay rates applicable for roles within our Delivery Offices. The rates displayed are payable for the entirety of your shift where the shift description criteria is met.

Rates could be subject to change during busy periods, Angard staffing will communicate any change to your pay rates in advance.
