Job summary

Angard Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking flexible Post Person with Driving roles to serve Royal Mail customers across delivery rounds in the UK. You will drive a Royal Mail van and deliver letters and parcels, with some parts on foot, staying active and providing excellent service daily.

The position is temporary with potential for permanence and involves shifts that may vary. A valid UK driving licence and ability to walk long distances are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels along your delivery route, with some parts on foot as required.
• Securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Driving Licence: Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points - you'll be driving a Royal Mail van as part of your round.
• Physical Fitness: Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.

Your Role

As a Post Person with Driving, you'll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, ensuring letters and parcels are delivered come rain or shine. You'll drive round your delivery area, completing parts of your route on foot, providing exceptional service and ensuring every item reaches its destination safely.

You’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.

Important to Know

The table below outlines the pay rates applicable for roles within our Delivery Offices. The rates displayed are payable for the entirety of your shift where the shift description criteria is met.

Rates could be subject to change during busy periods, Angard staffing will communicate any change to your pay rates in advance.
