Job summary

EMR Group is seeking an organised transport professional to join our Transport Division, focusing on routing deliveries, ensuring efficiency, compliance and high service quality.

You will build strong relationships with stakeholders, make quick decisions under pressure, and drive cost improvements while maintaining safety and regulatory standards. The role requires proactive problem solving and a solid grasp of EU hours regulations and O-licence commitments.

Qualifications

• Previous vehicle routing experience, which is essential.
• Experience of making quick and effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• A good understanding of EU drivers’ hours regulations and the Working Time Directive.
• A good understanding of O-licence commitments.
• Good IT skills.
• A professional and customer-focused approach, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Representing EMR’s Transport Division professionally and building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Liaising efficiently with customers and colleagues to resolve any issues or problems that arise.
• Promoting and ensuring compliance with transport policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
• Planning, organising and managing the routing of deliveries and collections to meet both business and customer requirements.
• Proactively identifying opportunities to improve routes and service levels, with a focus on reducing costs and improving customer satisfaction.
• Supporting the delivery of a safe, efficient and cost-effective transport service.
• Making informed decisions in a fast-paced environment to ensure operational requirements are met.
