Band 2 - 30 hours - Permanent

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and caring individual to join our Rotational Ward Clerk Team, who likes variety and is able to work flexibly, efficiently and independently to support a range of services.

The Rotational Ward Clerk role provides essential cover for the administrative roles that support our inpatient services here at Tameside Hospital; this will include in patient Wards, Same Day Emergency Care & Early Pregnancy patient receptions, as well as general and specialist administration. There are a variety of shift patterns between the hours of 7:00am and 9:00pm across a 7 day footprint and the successful candidate must be flexible to work across these hours/day including bank holidays etc.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a comprehensive ward reception and administration service.
  • Support patients, relatives and other staff members as a first point of contact.
  • Update the Trust Electronic Patient Record (Lorenzo EPR) accurately in real time whilst also ensuring patient case notes are available and appropriately maintained throughout each admission.
  • Work flexibly across a 7 day shift pattern and be able to cover across hours 7:00am to 9:00pm and bank holidays.
