Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust in Blackburn is seeking a band 5 Rotational Physiotherapist to join our friendly teams on a rotational scheme. You will rotate every 4 months across Acute Medicine, CCU / ICU, Orthopaedics, Community, Hospital in-patients, MSK, Rheumatology, Stroke, Neurology and Paediatrics.

The rotations are designed to develop clinical experience within each service area. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential, with a flexible approach to changing environments.

Qualifications

• Autonomous practitioner in patient assessment and management.
• Demonstrates clear clinical reasoning and CPD.
• Ability to work with busy multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients as an autonomous practitioner.
• Maintain records of assessment, treatment and progress.
• Organise caseload with support from Senior Physiotherapist.
• Communicate effectively with medical, nursing, therapy and social care staff.
• Contribute to physiotherapy service objectives and standards.
• Maintain HCPC standards and CPD through the preceptorship.
• Facilitate education of Physiotherapy students and staff induction.
• Participate in the on-call rota and weekend working.
