Hayley 24/7 Engineering in Dudley is seeking an experienced Rotating Equipment Estimator to translate engineers' inspections into robust repair quotations. You will link workshop activity with customers, developing repair scopes and costings for pumps, gearboxes, motors and related machinery.

You will work closely with engineers, suppliers and customers to ensure timely, technically sound quotations and strong commercial margins.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years in mechanical engineering and rotating equipment.
• Experience producing estimates, quotations or technical reports.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and inspection data.
• Strong commercial awareness and costing experience.

Responsabilidades

Location: Dudley, West Midlands

Salary: Competitive, DOE + Excellent Benefits!

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent - Monday-Friday

Hayley 24/7 Engineering is a leading provider of mechanical engineering and rotating equipment repair solutions, supporting customers across a wide range of industrial sectors.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced Rotating Equipment Estimator to join our Commercial Team in Dudley.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a mechanically minded professional with experience of pumps, motors, gearboxes and other rotating equipment to play a key role in delivering technically robust, commercially competitive repair quotations for our customers.

The Opportunity

As a Rotating Equipment Estimator, you'll act as the link between the workshop and the customer, converting engineers' inspection findings into detailed technical reports, repair proposals and quotations.

Working closely with engineers, suppliers and customers, you'll develop repair scopes, build accurate costings and ensure quotations are delivered on time and to a high technical standard.

Equipment you'll typically work with includes: Pumps, Gearboxes, Electric motors, Fans and blowers and Associated rotating machinery!

As our Rotating Equipment Engineering Estimator you will:

• Review engineering inspection and strip reports.
• Develop repair, overhaul or replacement scopes.
• Produce customer-facing technical reports and quotations.
• Calculate labour, material, subcontract and transport costs.
• Obtain prices and lead times from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Liaise with workshop teams on repair methods and delivery schedules.
• Apply commercial judgement to pricing and margins.
• Manage multiple enquiries and quotation deadlines.
• Provide technical and commercial updates to customers.
• Maintain accurate quotation records and supporting documentation.
• Support continuous improvement within estimating and commercial processes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• At least 5 years' experience within mechanical engineering.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment and repair processes.
• Experience producing estimates, quotations or technical reports.
• The ability to interpret engineering drawings, inspection reports and technical data.
• Good commercial awareness and costing experience.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Confidence communicating with customers, suppliers and engineering teams.
• Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.

It would be great if you had:

• Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, HNC or HND.
• Previous estimating experience within a repair workshop or service centre environment.
• Knowledge of bearings, seals, alignment, machining and fabrication processes.
• Experience working with pumps, motors, gearboxes or other rotating equipment.
• Familiarity with OEM specifications and industry standards such as API, ISO and ATEX.
