Exclusive Household Staff in Canterbury, Kent, seeks an experienced Housekeeper / Family PA to support a busy professional single-parent household on the outskirts of Canterbury. 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, 24-hour cover with structured breaks.

The role combines high-standard housekeeping with proactive family administration and light childcare, providing a calm, motherly presence. Spanish or German is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Housekeeping to a high standard: cleaning, laundry, bed linen, kitchen management and stock rotation.
• Family PA duties: managing children's schedules, school/nursery liaison, budgets, deliveries and administration.
• Occasional sole-charge support during parental commitments and a nurturing, motherly presence in the home.
• Support with homework routines and providing nutritious meals for children.

Overview
We are seeking an experienced, highly organised and naturally nurturing Housekeeper / Family PA to support a busy professional single-parent household located on the outskirts of Canterbury, Kent.

This is a household-led role requiring a candidate who can confidently take full ownership of the home during working weeks. The position combines high-standard housekeeping and proactive family PA support, alongside light childcare responsibilities and the provision of a warm, steady, motherly presence within the household.

The family have three children (B14, B5 and G3) and a small, friendly dog. The successful candidate will be emotionally intelligent, calm, and naturally supportive someone who can create structure, stability and a positive atmosphere within the home.

Spanish or German speaking would be advantageous, though not essential.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Household Management

• Full cleaning and upkeep of the home to a high standard
• Laundry care, including washing, ironing, wardrobe management and hand-washing delicate items
• Changing bed linen and maintaining bedrooms and bathrooms
• Kitchen management, including cleaning, fridge organisation and stock rotation
• Grocery shopping and household supply procurement
• Managing household stock levels and minimising waste
• Running errands and coordinating dry cleaning
• Plant care and general home organisation
• Feeding and caring for the family dog

The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining a well-run, organised and welcoming home environment.

Family PA & Household Administration

• Managing the children’s schedules, extracurricular activities, appointments and logistics
• Liaising with schools and nurseries where required
• Preparing school uniforms, bags and activity equipment
• Managing day-to-day household budgets
• Placing online orders and overseeing deliveries
• Coordinating appointments and general family administration
• This element of the role requires strong organisational ability, forward planning and the confidence to work autonomously.
• School runs and transport to activities
• Overseeing daily routines and ensuring consistency and structure
• Providing a calm, reassuring and motherly presence within the home
• Occasional sole-charge support following parental work commitments
• Supporting homework routines when required
• Preparing nutritious meals for the children
• While this is not a sole nanny role, the successful candidate must genuinely enjoy being around children and be comfortable acting as a steady adult figure who helps create a nurturing and secure environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience working within a private household in a similar role
