Job summary

MiChild Group is seeking a Room Leader for Little Angels Nursery in Blackpool. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated room, support early years learning, and work closely with colleagues to deliver high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Holds a full Level 3 Early Years credential and relevant UK registration.
• Experience leading a room and managing a small team.
• Solid understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.

Responsibilities

• Lead a nursery room and supervise a team of practitioners.
• Oversee daily routines, learning activities and safeguarding practices.
• Build strong relationships with parents and the nursery community.

About MiChild at Little Angels Nursery

Little Angels Nursery, proudly rated as \"Good\" by Ofsted, and has been part of the MiChild Family since 2020. We are located in Blackpool, near Stanley School and Stanley Park.

Our nursery features two key rooms an under twos unit, and our two to four years unit. There are so many benefits of our over 2 unit and our younger children benefit from the learning opportunities they encounter with their older peers and has helped to progress the children's social and communication development. Our older children in the unit have also become more independent, preparing them for their next transition in life; such as transitioning to Primary School.

What We’re Looking For:

• Holds a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (UK recognised)*


• Experienced room leader experience, comfortable managing a team


• Has a strong understanding of the EYFS and child development


• Demonstrates robust safeguarding knowledge and awareness


• Has experience leading a team and driving high standards


• Excellent communication skills and ability to build robust relationships with parents and the nursery team

**Please note this is a full time role for 40 hours per week**

Shift Patterns:

• Early Shift: 7.30am -4.00pm


• Middle Shifts: 8.00am -5.00pm or 8.30am to 5.30pm


• Late Shift: 9.30am-6.00pm
