Job summary

Bright Horizons Caterham Burntwood Lane Day Nursery and Preschool is seeking an experienced Room Leader for a maternity cover starting November 2026 through November 2027. You will lead a team in our pre-school room, delivering high-quality care and education aligned with EYFS.

The role requires a full/enhanced DBS check, and the successful candidate will support children’s development, safeguarding, and partnerships with families within a welcoming, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Experience in Early Years settings, ideally as Room Leader or similar.
• Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments.
• Strong EYFS knowledge and safeguarding understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a team to deliver high-quality care and education.
• Promote child welfare, health and safety, and safeguarding in every activity.
• Build strong partnerships with parents and colleagues to meet each child’s needs.
