Job summary

Bright Horizons Crouch End Day Nursery and Preschool in London is seeking a Room Leader for the Baby room. The role involves leading a team to deliver high-quality care and education, with a focus on safeguarding, welfare and meeting each child’s milestones.

A Level 3+ Early Years qualification is required and a passion for inclusive learning is essential. The nursery boasts two outdoor areas and a proactive culture built on HEART values, with strong links to parents and the local community.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Previous experience working within an Early Years setting – ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar.
• Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments.
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children.
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers.
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, support, and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education, helping each child in the room reach milestones.
• Promote child welfare, health and safety, safeguarding, and maintain strong partnerships with parents and professionals.
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide a high-quality learning environment aligned with EYFS.
• Develop trust with families and support ongoing communication and engagement.

Nursery – Bright Horizons Crouch End Day Nursery and Preschool

Salary – Starting from £32,864 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

We’re looking for a Room Leader to join our Crouch End Day Nursery and Preschool. Our nursery is situated in Haringey, London. This role is for the Baby room. Our 79-place nursery features two exciting outdoor areas, which are specifically design to be age appropriate, including its own beach, outdoor classroom, jungle walk and look-out tower! Our nursery is located very close by to Crouch Hill Overground Station and also near by to the Victoria line!

Role Description

As a Room Leader, you will lead, mentor, support, and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education, to help all children within the room to develop and meet their individual milestones. You will promote and ensure child welfare, health and safety, and safeguarding, and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet each child’s needs.
