Job summary

Bright Horizons Swanscombe Day nursery is seeking a Room Leader for our Baby Room. In this role you will lead, mentor, and inspire a team to deliver high-quality care and education, helping each child reach milestones while safeguarding welfare.

Applicants should hold a full Level 3+ Early Years qualification, have EYFS knowledge, and be skilled in building strong partnerships with parents and colleagues. The role offers a competitive salary (£31,241–£37,128 per annum) and excellent development

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3+ Early Years qualification.
• Previous experience in an Early Years setting – ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, or Early Years Educator.
• Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments.
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and related legislation for working with children.
• Ability to develop trust and strong partnerships with colleagues and parents/carers.
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with children and adults.

Responsibilities

• You will promote and ensure child welfare, health and safety, safeguarding, and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet each child’s needs.

Salary – £31,241 - £37,128 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

We're looking for a Room Leader to join our Bright Horizons Swanscombe Day nursery in our Baby Room. The nursery offers free onsite parking, is close to local bus routes and has a large, friendly team with opportunities for career development. The Role

As a Room Leader, you will lead, mentor, support, and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education, to help all children within the room to develop and meet their individual milestones. You will promote and ensure child welfare, health and safety, and safeguarding, and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet each child’s needs.

What we're looking for

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
• Previous experience working within an Early Years setting – ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar
• Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
