Job summary

Bright Horizons Swanscombe Day nursery is seeking a Room Leader to lead a team in the Baby Room, delivering high‑quality care and education in line with the EYFS. You will mentor colleagues, promote safeguarding and work closely with parents and professionals to meet each child’s needs.

The role requires a full and relevant Level 3+ Early Years qualification, plus experience in an Early Years setting and strong safeguarding knowledge. DBS checks and safer recruitment apply.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Experience working within an Early Years setting, ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, or Early Years Educator.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection within legislative requirements.

Responsibilities

• As Room Leader, lead, mentor, support and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education.
• Promote child welfare, health and safety, and safeguarding in the nursery.
• Build strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and other professionals to meet each child’s needs.
