A leading care provider in England is seeking a Team Leader to manage staff and provide emotional support to young people with learning disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in care settings and qualifications in child workforce management. Responsibilities include supervising staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering person-centred care. The position demands a proactive leader who can foster a safe and inclusive environment for young residents.
The role is about leading a team to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment that puts the health, safety, and welfare of our young people first. The position provides appropriate physical and emotional support to young people in residence through a team of care staff within a residential environment. The emphasis is on effective management of a team, which involves motivating, coaching, managing performance via probation/appraisal, and auditing the quality of care. This role is critical in ensuring that the Children’s Home Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards are exceeded, and offers the opportunity to develop and improve practice.
