An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, forward‑thinking individual to join the Medical Records team at Leighton Hospital as a Room Booking Co‑ordinator. Good organisational and communication skills are essential and knowledge of Trust systems including Meditech and Bookwise would be advantageous.
The post holder will be responsible for co‑ordinating and managing clinic room bookings relating to outpatient areas and elective hub services at Leighton Hospital Crewe. A key requirement of this role is to maintain accurate and up to date plans of the room bookings and to ensure that the system accurately reflects room bookings.
The Coordinator will be expected to organise their workload and co‑ordinate their activities in conjunction with the team and services to ensure that an efficient service is provided. It is essential that the post holder is able to exercise initiative suitable to the role, and is fully supportive to other colleagues in the administrative team.

Provide coordination of room bookings from the clinical specialties and administrative teams across the organisation.
To develop, design and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation pertaining to the area of training.
Build and maintain constructive relationships with others, within and across Divisions and externally to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of room bookings.
Be fully conversant with all required electronic systems for room bookings and clinic coordination.
Ensure that the room booking system is functioning correctly, and to maintain plans to maximise room utilisation.
Support the department to analyse, and act on information to proactively manage and maintain relevant NHS targets (including 18 weeks Referral to Treatment (RTT) and Trust Restoration Plans, Rapid Access Cancer Pathways), profiling room availability to support achievement of target requirements.
