Job summary

Hotel du Vin Avon Gorge is seeking a Room Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. You will clean guest bedrooms daily to the highest standard and maintain a welcoming, orderly environment for guests.

Conversations with guests require good English, and you will work predominantly 9am–3pm, five days out of seven. Full training on chemicals and equipment is provided, with opportunities for flexible contracts or weekend work.

Qualifications

Room Attendant

Rate of Pay / Hours: £13ph / 30 hours

Contract Type: Permanent position

Location: Hotel du Vin Avon Gorge

Working as part of the Housekeeping team you will ensure all guest bedrooms within the hotel are cleaned on a daily basis to the highest of standards. You will have an eye for detail and naturally high standards to meet our guests expectations of a perfect night’s stay.

Hotel du Vin provide a range of luxury and boutique hotels in 18 landmark locations around the United Kingdom. Synonymous with style and hospitality, Hotel du Vin offers exquisite accommodation with a relaxing atmosphere throughout our chain of hotels along with sumptuous food and wine in our trademark Hotel du Vin Bistros.

Working as a Room Attendant you will be interacting with our Guests so conversational English is essential, as is the ability to work on your own for periods of time. You will bea vital cogin the Hotel Du Vin machine ensuring all bedrooms are clean and tidy for our guests arrival and continued stays.

Need flexibility…………You will predominantly work set shifts, usually between 9am – 3pm, 5 days out of 7. Shift start times can be flexible between 9am – 10am. If desired earlier start times can be discussed at interview as well as flexible contracts or just weekend work.

Being a Room Attendant is hard work and will require a level of fitness in order to complete this vital role. Full training in the use of chemicals and equipment will be provided.

Experience in a similar role isn't required but apositive attitude and desire to make a differencewithin the hotel is essential.

We actively encourage internal development and progression and Hotel Du Vin is on target to have 100 new apprentices in the business by year end. Candidates for this position would be given the opportunity to enroll on our apprenticeship scheme after they have completed their probationary period.
