A renowned hotel chain in Scotland is seeking a Room Attendant to ensure that guest bedrooms are cleaned to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will possess an eye for detail, a positive attitude, and be able to work independently. No prior experience is necessary; full training will be provided. This position offers a permanent full-time contract with flexible hours.
Room Attendant – Malmaison Edinburgh, Leith
£12.50 per hour, permanent full‑time contract, 30 hrs/week, 5 working days per week pro rota.

As part of the Housekeeping team you will ensure all guest bedrooms within the hotel are cleaned on a daily basis to the highest standards. You will have an eye for detail and naturally high standards to meet guests expectations of a perfect night’s stay. You will interact with guests; conversational English is essential, and you will be able to work on your own for periods of time. a vital cog in the Malmaison machine.

You will predominantly work set shifts, usually between 9 am–3 pm, five days out of seven. Shift start times can be flexible between 9 am–10 am. Earlier start times can be discussed at interview, as can flexible contracts or weekend work.
Being a Room Attendant requires a level of fitness to complete this vital role. Full training in the use of chemicals and equipment will be provided. Experience in a similar role is not required, but a positive attitude and desire to make a difference within the hotel is essential.
We actively encourage internal development and progression. Malmaison is on target to have 100 new apprentices in the business by year‑end. Candidates for this position will have the opportunity to enrol on our apprenticeship scheme after completing their probationary period.
