Job description

We are currently working in partnership with a housing provider in Rochdale who are recruiting for a Roofer on three-month temporary-permanent basis.

The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. Initially, the hourly rate for the role will be £25 an hour on a CIS basis.

You will need an NVQ Level 2 in Slating and Tiling to apply for this role.

Duties will include (but are not limited to) :
  • Carrying out roofing repairs and maintenance on a range of social housing properties in line with health and safety standards
  • Identifying and diagnosing roof defects, including leaks, damaged tiles, flashings, and guttering issues
  • Completing tiling, slating, flat roofing, and lead work repairs to a high standard
  • Working from job sheets and schedules to prioritise responsive and planned maintenance tasks
  • Ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and within agreed timeframes
  • Liaising with tenants and housing officers in a polite and professional manner while carrying out works
Working hours :
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday, 3 : 30 finish on a Friday
