Job summary

Axis CLC Group is recruiting several experienced Roofer Multi Operatives to support its long-term partnership with Southern Housing, covering Hastings and surrounding areas. You will deliver reactive roofing repairs and maintenance across thousands of homes, using modern digital systems to keep work flowing and ensure properties remain safe and well maintained.

Applicants should have strong roofing experience, the ability to diagnose faults, and a track record in working on pitched and flat

Qualifications

• Strong roofing experience with the ability to carry out reactive repairs independently.
• Experience with pitched and flat roofing systems.
• Multi-trade experience in carpentry and general maintenance is desirable.
• Roofing qualification such as NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 is desirable.
• Experience working in tenanted properties.

Responsibilities

• Carry out roofing repairs to a high standard on both pitched and flat roofs.
• Diagnose roofing defects and undertake effective remedial works.
• Complete associated repairs including guttering, fascia and soffit maintenance.
• Undertake minor carpentry and general building repairs where required.
• Support with a broad range of general property maintenance duties.
• Work effectively both independently and within a team.
• Ensure all work meets safety, quality and customer service standards.

The Role

We are recruiting several experienced and versatile Roofer Multi Operatives to support our long-term partnership with Southern Housing, one of the UK's largest and most respected housing providers, covering Hastings and the surrounding areas.

In this role, you'll help deliver reactive roofing repairs and maintenance across thousands of homes, ensuring residents live in properties that are safe, weatherproof and well maintained. You'll be supported by modern digital systems that keep work flowing efficiently and give you everything you need to deliver a first-class service.

Responsibilities

• Carry out roofing repairs to a high standard on both pitched and flat roofs
• Diagnose roofing defects and undertake effective remedial works
• Complete associated repairs including guttering, fascia and soffit maintenance
• Undertake minor carpentry and general building repairs where required
• Support with a broad range of general property maintenance duties
• Work effectively both independently and within a team
• Ensure all work meets safety, quality and customer service standards
• Clean, valid UK driving licence
• DBS check (or willingness to undertake)
• Eligible to work in the UK (proof required)
• Professional, customer-focused presentation

About You

• Strong roofing experience with the ability to carry out reactive repairs independently
• Experience working on pitched and flat roofing systems
• Ability to diagnose faults and deliver effective repairs first time
• Multi-trade experience, particularly in carpentry and general maintenance, is desirable
• Good problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
• Experience working in tenanted properties
• Familiar with PDA usage
• Roofing qualification such as NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 is desirable
• Additional trade qualifications are advantageous
