Job summary

Line Up Aviation is recruiting several Role Equipment Technicians for a 6-month contract at Brize Norton. You will maintain and service critical survival and role equipment to safety and regulatory standards, under the guidance of the Role Bay Coordinator and Head of Workshops.

The role involves servicing oxygen generators, maintaining life vests, and ensuring equipment readiness for operations in a high-tempo aerospace environment, with a Mon-Fri 35-hour week.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Servicing of oxygen generators per OEM procedures and standards.
• Inspect, repack and maintain life vests and survival equipment.
• Input data into maintenance management systems and records.
• Apply corrosion prevention compounds on components and assemblies.
• Daily servicing of Class 3 role equipment for readiness.
• Adhere to safety, quality and procedural requirements.
• Support 6S workplace standards and continuous improvement.

Job description

On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit several Role Equipment Technician's on an initial 6 -month contract. As a Role Equipment Technician, you will play an important role in the maintenance and servicing of critical survival and role-specific aircraft equipment. Working under the guidance of the Role Bay Coordinator and Head of Workshops, you will help ensure equipment is maintained to the required safety, quality and regulatory standards, supporting equipment readiness and operational delivery within a high-tempo aerospace environment.

Role: Role Equipment Technician

Pay: £27 per hour Via Umbrella

Location: Brize Norton

Contract: Monday- Friday, 35 Hours per week, 6 Months contract

IR35 Status: Inside

Security Clearance: BPSS

Responsibilities

• Servicing of chemical oxygen generators in accordance with OEM procedures and regulatory standards
• Inspection, repacking, and maintenance of life vests and associated survival equipment
• Accurate data collection and input into maintenance management systems and technical records
• Application of corrosion prevention compounds on relevant components and assemblies
• Daily servicing of Class 3 role equipment, ensuring readiness and operational availability
• Compliance with all safety, quality, and procedural requirements
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining workplace standards in line with 6S principles

Essential Skills

• Demonstrable experience in the maintenance and servicing of survival and/or role equipment
• Proficiency in interpreting technical publications and adhering to regulated maintenance practices
• Competent in the use of digital tools and maintenance data systemsStrong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Desirable Skills

• Experience in a defence aerospace or military MRO environment
• Familiarity with A400M or similar military transport platforms
• Awareness of human factors, FOD prevention, and tool control practices
• Completion of a recognised apprenticeship in aircraft maintenance, survival equipment, or an equivalent military/civilian qualification
