Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality PE lessons across the secondary age range.
• Plan and deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons in line with the school's curriculum.
• Teach a range of sports and physical activities, developing pupils' skills, fitness and sporting knowledge.
• Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, resilience and healthy competition.
• Monitor, assess and track pupil progress effectively.
• Manage behaviour and maintain a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Differentiate activities to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Promote physical wellbeing and participation in sport.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed during practical lessons.
• Support extracurricular sporting activities and contribute to the PE department.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
• Support the academic, physical and personal development of all learners.
