Job summary

The University of Southampton's School of Engineering is seeking a Teaching Fellow to support its robotics teaching and new programmes in mechanical engineering and robotics. You will help design and deliver practical robotics laboratory sessions, including digital twin software, across our courses.

You will bring substantial robotics expertise, experience in teaching, and the ability to work effectively with students and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Substantial technical experience in robotics and robotic equipment.
• Experience in coding and control of robotic systems, including digital twin software.
• Effective team member who communicates with students and external stakeholders.
• Ability to design teaching activities within established policies to solve complex technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver practical robotics laboratory sessions, including digital twin software.
• Provide technical support to laboratories and workshops across engineering disciplines.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and improve robotics modules.
• Engage with students and external stakeholders to enhance learning outcomes.
