Job summary

A leading manufacturer of material handling equipment is seeking a Robotics Applications Engineer. This role involves installing and commissioning driverless systems at customer sites, troubleshooting and validating solutions, and providing post-sale support. Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading manufacturer of material handling equipment, automation & robotics seeking a capable Robotics Applications Engineer. Responsibilities
  • Installing & commissioning of driverless system’s (AGV’S) at customer sites across the UK & Ireland
  • Testing and validating these solutions and undertake proof of concept configuration
  • Using programming language such as KIWI, C, C++, MATLAB or Python
  • Designing customer material flow process in relation to AGV’s
  • Assessing and implementing damage analysis
  • Providing customers with technical support post sale
Requirements

The company have a preference for an individual with a qualification in a programming language, to include KIWI, C, C++, MATLAB or Python, as this will be essential for the requirements of the role. It is also highly preferred for applicants to hold a degree or vocational training certificate in mechatronics, electronics or electrical engineering. It is essential for the requirements of the role that you hold a full, clean UK driver’s license and be willing to spend extensive time travelling the UK. There will also be requirements to travel to Europe on occasion. The company are open to applications from candidates based anywhere in the UK.
