Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Programming, configuring and integrating FANUC industrial robots for a variety of automation applications.
• Developing and optimising robot programs to achieve efficient, reliable and repeatable operation.
• Supporting the design, build and integration of robotic systems within bespoke automation and special-purpose machinery.
• Carrying out robot setup, calibration, testing and optimisation.
• Diagnosing and resolving robotic, electrical and control system faults during build, installation and commissioning.
• Working closely with mechanical, electrical and controls engineering teams to deliver complete automation solutions.
• Supporting factory acceptance testing (FAT), site installation, commissioning and customer acceptance.
• Developing and refining robot paths, cycle times and operating sequences to improve system performance.
• Interfacing robots with PLCs, sensors, safety systems, conveyors and other automated equipment.
• Producing and maintaining robot programs, technical documentation and commissioning records.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance both in-house and at customer sites.

Robot Engineer

Location: Coventry, West Midlands

Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for a Robot Engineer to join a leading and dynamic engineering company specialising in bespoke automation and robotic solutions across a wide range of industry sectors. You will play a key role in the development, programming, installation and commissioning of robotic automation systems, working on innovative projects from initial concept and design through to final installation and customer handover.

The role will focus on FANUC industrial robotics, supporting the integration of robotic systems into bespoke machinery and automated production lines. You will work closely with mechanical, electrical and controls engineers to deliver high-quality automation solutions tailored to customer requirements.
