Job summary

A UK Roaming Chef role covering Swansea, Bridgend and Carmarthen offers 38 hours per week with 10-hour shifts from 8am to 6pm. A UK driving license and own vehicle are essential, and mileage will be paid from your base.

You will prepare fresh, nutritious home-style meals for adults with mental health and neurological needs, tailoring menus to dietary requirements with input from SALT and care colleagues, and lead kitchen colleagues to maintain high standards.

Salary: £31,616.00 per annum

Hours: 38 hours per week

Location: covering our services across Swansea, Bridgend and Carmarthen (milage will be paid from your base)

Travelling between our homes in Swansea, Bridgend and Carmarthen, where we provide nursing care for adults over the age of 18. We offer modern, homely, and well-equipped environments in a place called home for people with mental health needs, complex neurological needs, acquired brain injuries, and dementia.

As our Roaming Chef, you will play a vital role in the heart of the home- the kitchen.

You’ll prepare fresh, nutritious, home-cooked meals tailored to individual needs and preferences, consulting with colleagues to plan varied menus that meet dietary requirements, including guidance from SALT and other professionals.

This role offers:

• 10- hour shifts between 8am and 6pm
• Autonomy to suggest and lead themed food events and special celebration days
• The opportunity to create and manage an annual events calendar
