Job Overview

Join the team that keeps the UK moving. As a Roadside Technician you will deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. Your day begins and ends at home, tackling challenges on the road and ensuring members receive quick, confident solutions and reassurance when they need it most.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mechanical roadside repair, tyre change, battery replacement, and fault‑finding for members.
  • Diagnose and resolve vehicle issues quickly while maintaining high customer service standards.
  • Operate independently from your own RAC van, fuel card, tools, diagnostic kit and full uniform.
  • Maintain accurate logs and follow safety procedures.
  • Work flexible shifts (average 40 hrs wk) with optional overtime.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven technical, electrical and diagnostic experience.
  • Customer‑focused approach and strong communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
