Job summary

The AA is looking for a Roadside Rescue Mechanic to join our UK roadside assistance team. Expect a 40-hour week with flexible shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

You’ll work across varied locations, starting and finishing from your driveway, and use your technical knowledge to deliver excellent customer service. With NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and a valid category B licence (6 points max), you’ll be the friendly face helping members back on the road.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with appropriate experience
• Full category B driving licence with 6 points or less

Responsibilities

• Respond to roadside breakdowns and help get members moving again
• Work independently across varied locations while remaining a valued part of a team
• Use technical knowledge and clear communication to ensure a positive customer experience
• Solve problems on the spot with a calm approach to roadside situations
