Job summary

The AA is seeking a Roadside Rescue Mechanic to join our UK-wide team. You’ll start and finish each shift at your driveway, work independently across varied locations, and use your technical knowledge to assist members on the roadside.

You’ll need an NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, a full Category B licence (6 points or less), and a flexible approach to shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays. Guaranteed year 1 earnings of £43,976, with OTE up to £60,000 for top performers.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Full category B driving licence, 6 points or less.
• Confidence using and adapting to new technology provided by the employer.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Starting and finishing on your driveway, paid from door to door.
• Work independently across varied locations and conditions within a supportive team.
• Use technical knowledge and clear communication to ensure positive customer experiences.
• Solve roadside problems on the spot with calm, capable handling.
