Job summary

RAC is recruiting a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division across the UK. You’ll perform expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support, often starting and finishing at home, with 40-hour weeks and possible overtime.

With a Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years' post-qualification experience, you will receive a base salary of £41,600 (incl.

As a Roadside Technician with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equilavent) and at least 2 years' experience, you'll receive: A market-competitive base salary of £41,600 (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance, if applicable) and a realistic OTE of £66,000, with top-performers earning significantly more through bonuses and enhanced overtime rates. What you'll need:

• A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent), with at least 2 years' post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience

As a Roadside Technician within our Patrol division, you'll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. Whether it's a flat battery, tyre change, or complex fault-finding, you'll provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when our members need it most. You'll start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head-on and making a real impact on the roadside — combining your technical expertise with outstanding member service.
