Mobile Vehicle Technician

Location: Lancaster area (based on where you live)

Salary: £48,720 basic plus overtime at £35 per hour; overall earnings up to £57,000 depending on overtime worked.

Hours: 40‑hour work week with earliest start 6 am and latest finish 2 am; rota posted 14 days before shifts, with up to 72 hours’ notice.

Role Overview – Mobile Vehicle Technician
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension and electrical issues
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations and brake inspections
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used
  • Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area
  • Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques
Requirements – Mobile Vehicle Technician
  • Level 3‑qualified Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Technician (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ or equivalent); Level 2 qualification considered if demonstrated experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within a vehicle workshop or as a Mobile Vehicle Technician
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points or bans
  • Demonstrated technical, electrical and diagnostic experience
