Job description

The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at Amazon is fundamental to our operations – they keep vital machinery running at all times. As an RME Technician you will maintain a wide range of equipment and workspaces while upholding Health and Safety best practices, helping to keep colleagues safe and prevent machine downtime. Our technicians boost the availability and quality of our equipment and work to enhance the operational environment across Amazon’s fulfilment centres.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform proactive and preventive maintenance on a wide range of site equipment.
  • Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in live distribution warehouses.
  • Utilise the latest tools and techniques to maximise equipment effectiveness.
  • Uphold all health and safety policies and practices.
  • Support the development and progression of on‑site apprentices.
  • Work on continuous improvement projects and roll out best practices across a range of EU sites.
  • Collaborate with senior colleagues and contractors when external expertise is needed.
  • Operate across a range of shifts, including early, late and night hours, to ensure 24/7 site support.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Completed a full engineering apprenticeship or hold a minimum NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, in a relevant engineering subject.
  • Relevant experience as a qualified engineer, including mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
  • Advanced proficiency in the local language, verbally and in writing.
  • Experience with condition‑based monitoring and automation systems is preferred.
