A leading global e-commerce company is seeking a Mechatronics Apprentice in Lighthorne. This role involves installing, maintaining, and fault-finding complex automated systems while gaining hands-on engineering experience. The apprenticeship offers a structured training program leading to various engineering qualifications, ensuring progression opportunities within the company. Ideal candidates will have achieved a minimum of 3 GCSEs (A-C) in relevant subjects, demonstrating a solid foundation in technical skills.
Launch your engineering career as a Mechatronics Apprentice with Amazon’s Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team. You’ll develop skills in electrical and mechanical maintenance while working on cutting‑edge automated equipment, including robotic arms, conveyor networks and sensor technology.
Your apprenticeship is a full‑time residential programme during the first 12 months, followed by day or block‑release study while you work at a Fulfilment Centre, Sortation Centre or Delivery Station. You’ll earn qualification through industry‑recognised study and gain experience on real engineering projects.
You’ll work in a 24/7 operation with shift patterns that cover days, nights and weekends. The role offers clear avenues for progression to mechatronic maintenance technician, maintenance engineer, mechanical fitter or electrical engineer.
