Job summary

TEKEVER is recruiting a Risk & Opportunity Manager in the UK to own and drive the Risk and Opportunity function across Civil & Defence projects. You will apply risk methodology, track mitigation, and provide visible, actionable risk insights to Programme Director/SRO and Chief Engineer across UK/Portugal boundaries as needed.

You will work with governance boards, ensure audit trails, and coordinate with engineering, safety, commercial and supply chain teams.

Qualifications

• Relevant professional experience in risk management, programme controls or project management within defence, aerospace or a comparable complex engineering sector.
• Formal risk management qualification (e.g. APM Risk, M_o_R, IRM) or equivalent.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

• Establish, own and maintain the Risk and Opportunity function.
• Apply Risk methodology and risk scoring to classify, score and actively manage every risk, ensuring all has dedicated resource from across the organisation.
• Facilitate risk identification workshops across programme, engineering, safety, commercial, supply chain and training functions, capturing new risks and opportunities as Projects progress.
• Track mitigation actions to closure, escalating risks that exceed agreed tolerance thresholds to the Programme Manager and Programme Director/SRO.
