Job description

Location: Based at Fort Dunlop - this location sits on the eastern edge of Birmingham, adjacent to the M6 motorway, providing excellent transport links into the city and across the region. Fort Dunlop serves as a key hub within IPT Area North, supporting operations that span multiple sublots and regional activities. Its strategic position makes it an important point for coordination and access, with proximity to major infrastructure routes ensuring connectivity to both the Central Region and wider project areas.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Works with business unit leaders to establish, maintain and continuously improve risk management capabilities and practices.
  • Supporting the Head of Risk in the delivery of writing and updating risk management documentation (Strategy, Procedures and Plans) for the project
  • Delivering all risk management activities for the Region including Regional reporting
  • Providing advice on significant risk exposures and their possible treatment to the Regional Leadership teams and Executive
  • Facilitating the identification and response to project risk (threats and opportunities) including reviews and workshops
  • Development of SMART response actions and escalations where necessary
  • Coordination and management of QSRA for highway or rail blockades, and overall programme prolongation.
Qualifications:
  • 5 years experience of risk management and analysis in a major project environment
  • QCRA and QSRA tools and techniques (e.g. @Risk and PRA) Monte Carlo simulation, interpretation and reporting
  • Is proficient in data management, MS Excel and PowerBI
