Job description

Responsibilities

• Actively support the business on Safety, Quality & Assurance matters by conducting regular site visits, assure the right standards are in place, undertake regular audits, including engagement visits and monitor progress against the site improvement plans.
• You will support an operational team covering wastewater and clean water/utilities activities, boiler houses and energy centres, total waste manage.
• Engage with teams and identify further improvements and provide solutions.
• To work closely with the Treatment Risk & Assurance Manager to support operations and, where appropriate, support and liaise with external stakeholders, regulators and customers.
• To liaise with clients and provide advice on industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Safety Advisor Role, ideally in waste management.
• NEBOSH General Certificate.
• A background in at least one of the industrial areas mentioned above (Waste, Energy, Water, or Utilities).
• Auditing experience.
• The ability to influence key stakeholders on site.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide industry-leading customer service to all internal and external customers.
