Job summary

Parkinson's UK is seeking an experienced Risk and Assurance professional to support the Head of Risk and Assurance in ensuring compliance with the Risk Management Policy and Framework across the charity.

You will manage day-to-day risk, internal audit and insurance operations and foster a strong culture of transparency and service improvement.

This role will align the Internal Audit programme with the organisation's evolving risk profile and enable colleagues to effectively manage risks.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering risk training and workshops.
• Strong governance knowledge in the charity sector.
• Experience producing governance reports for senior meetings.
• Exemplary organisation skills with ability to juggle priorities.
• Experience in policy writing.

Responsibilities

• Design and facilitate risk workshops and training at Directorate level.
• Manage regular review of risk registers, and support the Head of Risk & Assurance in developing and maintaining the risk management framework
• Manage the production of risk, internal audit and insurance reports as required.
• Use knowledge of risks being faced by the Charity to develop a structured, yet responsive, risk-based annual internal audit plan.
• Manage the annual Insurance renewal process, working closely with the Charity insurance broker.

About the role

You'll ensure that the Internal Audit programme aligns with the risks being faced by the charity. You'll enable colleagues across the charity to feel equipped to effectively manage their risks.

What you'll do

• Design and facilitate risk workshops and training at Directorate level, with support from the Head of Risk

• Manage the regular review of risk registers, and support the Head of Risk & Assurance in developing and maintaining the risk management framework

• Manage the production of risk, internal audit and insurance reports as required.

• Use knowledge of risks being faced by the Charity to develop a structured, yet responsive, risk-based annual internal audit plan.

• Manage the annual Insurance renewal process, working closely with the Charity insurance broker.

What you'll bring
