TSR Legal are currently working with a Top Tier Legal 100 law firm based in Bristol, who are currently looking to recruit a Risk & Compliance Manager to work within the expanding Risk team. As a Risk & Compliance Manager you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the firms Risk & Compliance function, implementing, and developing policies and procedures across the business. The role will involve advising on compliance and regulatory matters to both staff and partners fostering an awareness and culture throughout the firm.

Key Duties:

  • Working closely with the Director of Risk & Compliance Lawyer to instil a culture of compliance across the firm making sure all staff understand their responsibilities
  • Responsible for acting as the point of escalation for compliance and risk queries
  • Involved in developing clear policies, training materials to enhance knowledge across the firm
  • Conduct audits to assess compliance levels across the firm
  • Manage the compliance policy portfolio, ensuring regular reviews and training to staff
  • Maintain compliance-related standards including Lexcel accreditation and external audits
  • Assisting in developing PI’s and performance metrics
  • Develop and train more junior members of the team

To be considered for this role, our client is requiring a candidate that has prior experience of working within a law firm as a Risk & Compliance Manager, strong understanding of regulations, SRA standards and regulations, anti-money laundering as well as excellent communication and report writing skills.
