A global insurance firm seeks a Senior Risk Analyst in Greater London to enhance their Risk Management Framework. The role involves identifying, assessing, and managing risks while leading initiatives within Enterprise Risk Management. Candidates should possess strong analytical capabilities and experience in insurance risk analysis. The role is within Chubb Europe’s ERM team and will promote the embedding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) across Chubb Europe by enhancing risk management activities towards the achievement of Chubb’s regional corporate objectives. The Senior Risk Analyst will play a pivotal role in the identification, assessment, and management of risks across the organization including providing assurance in terms of the adequacy of existing risk mitigation strategies. This position requires a strategic mindset and strong analytical skills, capable of leading and supporting Enterprise Risk Management initiatives within the Function. The Senior Risk Analyst will report into the Head of Enterprise Risk Management and will lead or support risk analysis including stress and scenario analysis, emerging risk analysis, conduct specific risk assessment, support production of Solvency Capital Requirements (SCR) and Own Risk and Solvency Assessments (ORSA).
ROLE PURPOSE
The role holder will collaborate with various departments and be involved in a range of tasks including, but not limited to, performing deep-dive/spotlight reviews on key risk themes, drafting relevant reports as well as providing inputs to various Committee to facilitate risk-based decision making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the embedment the Risk Management Framework (and the underlying risk policies) and the Risk Function’s engagement with the first line and advise on risk and controls self-assessments performed by the first line.
Support or lead the related risk analysis in respect of insurance/underwriting exposures, reserving and financial (credit & market) risks as may be required.
University degree in a numerate discipline or a related subject
Nearly / part-qualified Actuary / CERA qualification is an advantage
Languages
Any other European language (desirable)
