As a Risk Analyst, you will play a central role in identifying, analysing, and mitigating risks across the Society, with a focus on prudential and credit risk.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
  • Delivering 2nd line reviews: Youll compile, analyse, and evaluate data to assess risk exposure and provide assurance across key areas of the business.
  • Presenting findings: Your insights will help shape strategic decisions, ensuring risks are understood and managed effectively.
  • Supporting 1st line teams: Youll collaborate with operational teams to develop and embed risk mitigation plans, ensuring alignment with the Risk Management Framework.
  • Providing expert guidance: Youll advise on prudential risk areas including ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery Plans, and lending policy changes.
  • Monitoring risk appetite: Youll help oversee and challenge the Societys risk limits, ensuring performance is tracked and escalated appropriately.
  • Contributing to key committees: Youll attend Credit, Asset & Liability Committee and Product Pricing Governance Committees, offering challenge, insight, and recommendations through written and verbal reports.
  • Coaching and collaboration: Youll support colleagues across the Society in understanding and applying risk principles, fostering a culture of accountability and learning.

The Ideal Candidate Will
  • Hold a relevant qualification in finance, economics, or risk management, or possess equivalent practical experience.
  • Bring at least one year of hands‑on experience in Treasury, Credit Risk, or a closely related role.
  • Demonstrate the ability to write and deliver Board‑quality reports that provide clear insights and strategic value.
  • Understand and apply regulatory requirements within a financial services environment.
  • Confidently analyse complex prudential documents such as ICAAP, ILAAP, and Recovery Plans.
