Rigging Prep Technician

Join 4Wall Europe - a global video, lighting, rigging company - to gain real-world experience in delivering AV and lighting to high-end concerts, tours and festivals around the world.

With 3 UK locations and multiple across the US, 4Wall works with some of the best-known brands and artists around the world, delivering the very latest video, lighting and rigging equipment.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Rigging Prep Technician to join our rigging prep team in our Blackburn warehouse on a 6-month fixed-term contract from November to April, with the potential to extend until June.

We’re looking for a candidate with a methodical nature, a good eye for detail and a keen interest in theatrical rigging.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintaining rigging gear and motors to the highest standards by cleaning, inspecting, painting and troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Prepping kit as per job requirements in a timely fashion.
  • Checking in/ Checking out equipment as per procedures.
  • Assisting the rigging department with the organisation of all rigging equipment as per 4Wall working policy.
  • Working as part of a wider team to help deliver exceptional service to our clients.
Qualifications and pre-requisites
  • Must have good visual abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and dexterity.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving / trouble shooting and repair ability.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness and flexibility to facilitate overtime including early mornings, late evenings and some weekend working.
  • Experience in electric hoist and theatrical rigging preferred but not essential.
Working hours

Full time.
