THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking an RF Test Technician to support the delivery of complex, mission‑critical systems within a highly regulated engineering environment. You will play a key role in the integration, validation, and testing of RF systems, supporting both development and qualification activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform RF testing activities in line with defined procedures and requirements
• Conduct measurements including return loss and insertion loss
• Set up and test RF harnesses and associated hardware
• Support integration and validation of RF systems and sub‑systems
• Operate and configure RF test equipment (e.g. spectrum analysers, signal generators, network analysers)
• Carry out calibration activities on test equipment and systems
• Capture, analyse, and document test data using data acquisition systems
• Assist in fault finding, diagnostics, and root cause analysis of RF issues
• Produce and contribute to Test Plans, Test Procedures, and Test Reports
• Ensure all testing activities comply with quality and safety standards
• Collaborate with systems, design, and manufacturing team

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Hands‑on experience in RF testing within a lab or production environment
• Experience measuring return loss and insertion loss
• Experience testing RF harnesses and cable assemblies
• Understanding of RF principles (frequency, impedance, signal behaviour, etc.)
• Experience with RF test equipment and calibration processes
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, test specifications, and procedures
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work within a multi‑disciplinary team

DESIRABLE SKILLS

• Experience within aerospace, defence, or space sectors
• Familiarity with environmental or qualification testing
• Experience with tools such as Dewesoft, DASYLab, or LabVIEW
• Understanding of system‑level integration and testing
