Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space Limited in Portsmouth is offering a 12‑month internship within the Payload Prepare for Test team. Start date 19 July 2027, 37 hours per week, hybrid working options and a salary of £24,500.

You'll support Satellite Payload Test functions, design and procure test system hardware, and write test system software while collaborating with the systems engineering team. Applicants must be undergraduates studying Engineering, Science or Production based degrees.

Qualifications

• Undergraduates only for the duration of the placement.
• Currently studying towards an Engineering, Science, or Production based degree.
• Basic knowledge of LabVIEW and/or Java; familiarity with Agile/Sprint methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and procurement of new test system hardware.
• Initial assembly, validation and commissioning of test system hardware.
• Writing of new test system software; support investigations with the systems engineering team.
• Participation in sprints and daily scrums; support in the cleanroom for test systems.
