Job summary

Filtronic plc is recruiting NPI Engineers to join our new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at NetPark in Sedgefield. You will lead the transition of RF and microwave products from development to stable, scalable production, collaborating with RF design, mechanical, test, quality and manufacturing teams.

We seek candidates from electronics, Tier-1 automotive, or other high-reliability environments. Strong knowledge of DFM/DFA, PFMEA, SPC, and root-cause methodologies is preferred, with a

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience transitioning products from development to production.
• Experience in high-precision/high-reliability manufacturing environments.
• Proven problem-solving using structured methodologies (8D, DMAIC or FMEA).

Responsibilities

• Lead introduction of new RF and microwave products into manufacturing.
• Coordinate pilot builds and production readiness reviews.
• Develop and implement DFM/DFA reviews to improve manufacturability.
• Define tooling, fixturing and automation requirements.
• Develop process flows, control plans and manufacturing documentation.
• Support early production builds and ramp-up.
