Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in the United Kingdom is seeking an RF/Microwave Design Engineer for a contract role. Qualifications

Job description

Contract Opportunity: RF/Microwave Design Engineer

Location: Manchester (Greater Manchester)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract Length: 6 months (likely extension)
Day Rate: £65-£70 per hour (Outside IR35)
On-Site Requirement: 2 days per week on-site (remainder remote)

Key Responsibilities

• RF circuit design (LNA, PA, filters, mixers, oscillators)
• Schematic capture and PCB layout support
• RF simulation using tools such as ADS, HFSS, Microwave Office or similar
• Lab testing and characterisation of RF boards and prototypes
• Supporting design reviews and producing documentation

Ideal Background

• Strong RF/microwave design experience (2 GHz - 30 GHz preferred but flexible)
• Previous work in telecoms, aerospace, defence, satellite, or similar industries
• Ability to work independently and deliver on project milestones
