Job summary

The One Group is seeking an RF Engineer in Cambridge to work on full product lifecycle development of high-tech RF products. This on-site role involves hands-on design, testing and integration with digital and UI subsystems.

You will contribute to component selection, circuit validation and documentation, with travel as needed. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electronics or Telecommunications, plus experience in RF design, simulation and RF test environments.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications or a related subject.
• Experience of RF product development, integration, simulation or testing.
• Practical RF design experience and strong engineering intuition.
• Experience in RF transmitter/receiver architectures, RF power amplifiers, frequency generation or VCO design, matching networks, EMC and EMI.
• Experience using RF simulation/modelling tools such as ADS or CST.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment and controlled test environments.
• Practical PCB skills, including component-level rework and modifications.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of RF circuits and systems.
• Evaluate and select electronic components.
• Contribute to designs down to discrete component level.
• Integrate RF designs with DSP, audio and UI subsystems.
• Complete circuit simulation, testing and design validation.
• Investigate product failures and perform root-cause analysis.
• Recommend and implement design changes to resolve faults.
• Create schematics and support PCB layout activity.
• Produce test specs, reports and technical documentation.
